The Event

  • Date: Friday, May 15th
  • Time: 6:00 PM
  • Location: MICS Campus - Race Day Map
  • Proceeds raised from the MICS Color Run support our Athletic Boosters club in their purchase of an upgraded audio system at the multi-purpose B field.
  • 5pm- Doors to Raptors Stadium open. Race packets are available for those who have not yet received them.
  • 6pm – Mr. Gibson and Riley will lead a stretch field at Raptor Stadium
  • 6:10pm - 5k race start
  • 6:15pm - 2k race start

Things to Know Before Race Day

  • Race tshirts available for purchase here.
  • The Color Run this year is a BLACK OUT so wear all black to display the vibrant colors of the race.
  • Race participation fees are non-refundable.
  • The race will proceed in rain. If weather inclement, we could delay the race or move to an alternate date.
  • The race course does have one short trail portion and one set of stairs. We will offer an alternative route for the stairs that is ADA compliant.

Things to Know for Race Day

  • What to wear?
    • Clothes/shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. The Color Run this year is a BLACK OUT so wear all black to display the vibrant colors of the race.
    • Color should wash out but it will be messy.
    • Sunglasses or eye wear to shield eyes from debris at color stops. Bandana can be pulled up to cover nose and mouth when going through the color stop as well.
    • Comfortable running shoes that can get dirty.
  • Event Day Parking
    • Campus roads and parking lots will remain open until 5:50pm. At that time, no through traffic past the first upper level of parking. Roads will remain closed until runners have passed through the area.
  • Inclement weather
    • The race will proceed in rain. If storming, we could delay the race or move to an alternate date. Please check this website for the most recent race updates.
  • What to bring
    • One towel per participant will be provided at the finish line but it’s recommended that you bring an extra towel for your car.
  • What to expect on the race course - please check the course map
    • The race starts and finishes at Raptor Stadium and runs clockwise. The 5k race will have 5 color stations and the 2k race will have 3 color stations. One water station will occur halfway through the 2k and an addional water station will occur at the baseball/softball complex for the 5k racers.
    • The course does have one short trail portion (only 5k) and one set of stairs (2k/5k). We will offer an alternative route for the stairs that is ADA compliant.
    • A portion of the 5k race will be off-campus and the streets WILL NOT be closed. Please use caution and supervise your children.
    • We ask that all runners remain to the left side of the course and walkers to the right.
    • Only service animals (as defined by ADA.gov) are permitted in all areas of campus where members of the general public are allowed.
  • After the race
    • Be sure to pick up your complimentary water, towel and medal.
    • Pizza by the slice from Johnny Brusco’s and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice will be available for purchase. This is a great opportunity for participants and supporters to cap off their event with dinner and fun!
